Appearance CodE
All students are expected to comply with the Appearance Code beginning the first full day of classes. The Appearance Code helps a student maintain a sense of respect for himself as well as for the school community. Students should plan to purchase new clothing during their four years to ensure a proper fit. Students’ appearance should be neat and clean.
- Green or White Polo shirt with the new Notre Dame logo or any collared, full button-down Oxford-style dress-shirt with collar
- Any solid color dress pants, Dockers, or chinos
- Pants should not be ripped as a matter of style
- Pants must not in any way resemble cargo pants, have elastic cuffs, and cannot have more than 4 pockets (2 in front and 2 in back)
- Belt and socks
- Casual/dress shoe or athletic sneakers
- Flip-flops and slippers are not permitted
- Notre Dame grey sweater fleece with the new logo or Sport-Tek Sport-Wick Stretch 1/2-Zip Pullover with the new logo (not required). Green or White Polo shirt with the new Notre Dame logo or any collared, full button-down Oxford-style dress-shirt with collar must be worn underneath.
Summer Appearance Code
First day of school to September 30th and May 1st to the end of the school year.
- Green or White Polo shirt with the new Notre Dame logo
- No long sleeve shirt can be worn under the Polo shirt
- Any solid color dress, golf or cargo shorts - No athletic or denim shorts
- Belt and socks
- Casual/dress shoe or athletic sneakers
- Flip-flops are not permitted
Students must purchase the Notre Dame polo shirt, the grey sweater fleece and Sport-Tek Sport-Wick Stretch 1/2-Zip Pullover through the Notre Dame online store.
