Notre Dame High School is thrilled to embark on a new chapter in our school’s history as we transition to a coeducational model for the first time. As we open our doors to female students, we are dedicated to establishing a strong foundation for women’s athletics, emphasizing a tradition of excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Our goal is to build competitive programs that inspire, challenge, and develop the talents of young female athletes. 

 

Position Summary 

We are seeking experienced, passionate, and motivated Head Coaches for our inaugural girls’ teams in Volleyball and Softball. These coaches will play a vital role in building the foundation for these new programs, setting the tone for years to come. Ideal candidates are dedicated to student-athlete development both on and off the field, fostering an environment of respect, accountability, and resilience. 

 

Responsibilities    

•   Develop and implement a comprehensive program plan, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.    

•   Lead practices, training sessions, and competitive games, focusing on both the physical and mental growth of student-athletes.    

•   Cultivate a positive and inclusive team culture that aligns with Notre Dame High School’s mission and values.   

•   Mentor and motivate student-athletes, supporting their academic and personal growth.    

•   Manage and collaborate with assistant coaches to ensure a cohesive program structure.    

•   Build and maintain relationships with parents, school faculty, and the broader Notre Dame community.     

 

Qualifications    

•   Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.    

•   Proven experience coaching at the high school or collegiate level.    

•   Strong knowledge of the respective sport’s rules, strategies, and techniques.    

•   Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and respect.    

•   Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a dedication to fostering positive team dynamics.
