Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art and Illustration, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth
  • Master’s Degree in Art Education, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth
  • Certification in Mild and Moderate Disabilities, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth
  • Certification in Art Therapy, Salve Regina University

With 10 years of teaching experience and a background as an artist, Ms. Dempsey's lessons reflect her passion for the environment. She inspires students to explore the connection between art and nature, fostering creativity while deepening their understanding of cultural and environmental themes.

Beyond teaching, Ms. Dempsey worked for 17 years as an independent consultant for a Boston-based environmental printing company while living and working in New York City. 

Ms. Dempsey is an active artist who enjoys contributing to various community art projects and blending her professional expertise with community engagement.
