Congratulations to Coach Larry Vieira for earning his 500th career win today! This is Coach Vieira’s fifth season as the Green Knights head coach after taking over in 2018. He coached Branford High School from 1983-2009 before moving on to a two-year stint at Darien High School. He then spent one season as the goalie coach at Manhattanville College before spending six years at New Fairfield-Immaculate. Thirty two of his teams have qualified for the CIAC state tournament! A goalie in his playing days, Vieira was a walk-on, across the street at the University of New Haven, an NCAA Division II hockey program at the time, from 1978-1982. A longtime educator at West Haven High School, Vieira was named the 2000 Connecticut Gatorade High School Coach of the Year and more recently,  the Boys Ice Hockey 2023 SCC/SWC Division I Coach of the Year. Congratulations Coach on your 500th win and for your years of hard work and dedication!
