Degree(s): BA, MA, UNLV Employed Since: 2013 Biography: Mr. Kern graduated with a B.A. in English from the University of Las Vegas. He then went on to receive his M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Las Vegas before becoming a Nation Board Certified Teacher in 2007. When Mr. Kern is not watching ND sports, he is enjoying hockey (especially the Detroit Red Wings and LAs Vegas Knights), the great outdoors, tending his garden and chickens, throwing around a ball for his black lab, Magpie, and reading anything science fiction related, such as The Walking Dead. His son, Khorbin graduated in 2019 and now attends Quinnipiac where Mr. Kern's wife, Mrs. Kern, is a professor. A fun fact about Mr. Kern is that he is likely the only English teacher in the world with Top Secret CNWDI (Critical Nuclear Weapon Design Information) security clearance from his time in the USAF. |
